Salem began doing DIY cuts and color for friends in bathrooms in 2010, then left the U.S. to study linguistics and nationalism for a few years before returning to hair. They are now apprenticing at Ceremony to build technical skills and elevate their craft. Bring pixies, long layers, formal geometric styles, or sloppy punky messes—Salem welcomes everything.

In the chair, they emphasize communication and detail, working to bridge each client's vision and needs with their specific head of hair. Their goal is always to create hair that excites clients and works for how they exist in the world.
