Rachel founded Ceremony in June 2014 to honor the craft of the chair—the quiet, powerful exchange between stylist and client. Her aim was a safer, more intentional salon where people are truly seen and stylists can grow; she remains grateful to the talented team and loyal clients who’ve shaped its story.

Trained in graphic design and illustration, Rachel left the desk for a more tactile life—cutting friends’ hair before earning her license in 2005. Since then she’s navigated many corners of the industry: client work, New York Fashion Week styling, advanced education, coaching fellow professionals, and salon ownership.
